How call setup, in-call quality and user ratings moved for calls originating in the UAE (AE→AE, AE→US, AE→Europe) from January to mid-October 2026, and the call-quality work Core CoE shipped along the way.
Data as of 2026-10-14 · ProductBoard snapshot 2026-10-14
Part 1 · What changed
Weekly rates. Numbered pins mark when key call-quality work was released. They are there to show timing, and a pin lining up with a drop does not by itself prove the release caused it.
The caller never heard ringing and the callee never connected ÷ paired calls
In-call bad-call rate
Any video, audio or connection issue during the call ÷ all call legs
Cross-check on the V3 dashboard: call-not-ring and total bad call (Jul → Oct)
The V3 pipeline keys every row on the real caller_callee country pair, but it only keeps the last 91 days. Its rates use all calls as the denominator, so they are not on the same scale as the V2 charts above.
Call-not-ring %
Total bad call %
P2P call rating (CSAT)
The post-call star rating users leave on 1:1 calls, from voip_rating_stat_v2 with the same definitions as Lighthouse › VoIP › CSAT. The rating label is the real caller_callee pair. Separate AE→US and AE→EU labels only exist from 2026-05-05; AE→AE goes back to Jul 2025.
Average rating (1–5★), weighted by rating count

Monthly table
The same numbers by month. A month's rate is sum(numerator) ÷ sum(denominator) over the days that have data.
Read before quoting a number.
Bad call comes from ads_botim_voip_result_van_bad_call_1d_di, split by pp (caller country_callee country), so it is a true corridor. The country-pair column only starts on 2026-01-23, which means "January" covers 9 days.
Not-ring and total not-ring come from ads_botim_voip_result_call_setup_1d_di, which only records the callee country. The corridors there are therefore a proxy (callee in AE / US / EU). We checked the proxy against the paired caller↔callee table for 2026-05-28 → 07-06: total not-ring matched within ±0.3pp, and silence read 0.6–0.7pp high. Use the proxy for trends, not for exact levels.
2026-05-19/20/21 have no call-setup data and are excluded. Call-setup data matures at T+7, so it ends on 10-12.
